Kōbōyama Rant & Run (+ philosophizing)

Great Father's Day, today. Sweat run out to Kōbōyama. Got a nice sunburn. Enjoyed the climb, the heat, the struggle. Walked around the area after. Listened to a Buddhist priest do his rituals at a cemetery. Legs wobbly and chills. Right after all the climbing. 29 degrees and 97% humidity. Heat wave on the way. Great training. After Kōbōyama the fam and I went out to Alps Park Matsumoto. Enjoyed a real fun ride on the "Dream Coaster," saw the biggest Asian giant hornet I've ever seen, and ate a mulberry from the tree there. The ojisan on the Dream Coaster was even cracking the grandpa jokes for me. Asked me if I was "pera-pera" in Japanese and then said "puropera" (Japanese for "propeller" and also, in a sense, "pro-fluent"). Total samui. Total dad/grandpa joke. A FUCKING LOVELY DAY, BOYS!
